Close-one-eye MP Mohd Said SHUT OUT

That's the Sun headline today. The Star has the same story - "Close one ‘eye’ MP out."

Yes, the infamous Jasin MP Datuk Mohd Said Yusuf is out. He is one of two members of Parliament dropped from the the Malacca Barsian Nasional line-up.

Mohd Said rose to notoriety for asking the customs to close one eye to illegal import of sawn timber from Indonesia in 2006.

Nuraina is happy about it (read her entry here ) - so are we - and Galadriel says part of her wish has been answered.

Now that he has been dropped what about the other "two jackasses", Bung Mukhtar Radin (Kinabatangan) and Badrudin Amiruldin (Jerai)?" she asks. Just like the rest of us... wondering who's gonna be next - to be axed.

By the way, it's good that former Chief Minister Tan Sri Minister Rahim Thamby Chik who wanted to have a piece of the action by offering himself as a candidate did not make it on the list.

Here's the Star report:

Close one ‘eye’ MP out

By MARTIN CARVALHO and THO XIN YI

MALACCA: Controversial “close one eye” Jasin MP Datuk Md Said Yusop was among the 13 incumbents dropped for contest in the polls. He was replaced by Datuk Ahmad Hamzah, the incumbent for the Serkam state seat.

Md Said is known for his remark to Customs officials to overlook a consignment belonging to his company’s client that was seized for exceeding the size limit.

He also accused Customs officials of selling confiscated luxury cars cheaply to their friends in the palace, but could not produce any evidence to back his allegation.

Making the election list were incumbents Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam (Bukit Baru state seat), Malacca MCA liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chan Onn (Alor Gajah parliamentary seat) and Wong Nai Chee (Kota Melaka parliamentary seat). click here to continue.

One of the biggest surprises in the line-up was the increase in the number of women candidates from one in previous polls to four. To continue click here .

Good riddance. Doesnt need to contest, he's already rich through ill-gotten wealth. Hope the ACA will go after this one-eyed pirate.

Tok Mommy,

It is good that former Chief Minister Tan Sri Minister Rahim Thamy Chik who wanted to have a piece of the action by offering himself as a candidate did not make it on the list.

I gave a big sigh of relief that this guy (who screwed up his political life by screwing around) was not considered.

At least some sense preveiled among the state Umno leadership in not accepting his offer of candidacy.

I like the website www.mampus.com/closeoneeye (lol) galadriel has set up.

Ok, it's not a website as she explains, but her way of comemorating the political demise of what must be one of the most repulsive Parliamentarians in Malaysian history.

For the life of me I dont know how they ever got nominated and elected in the last g.election

Good riddance to rubbish!

Bung Mukhtar Radin (Kinabatangan) and Badrudin Amiruldin (Jerai)are an embarrassment to the Malaysians.

We expect expect better quality debate from our legislators. To put it bluntly, they have been making fools of themselves and, as taxpayers, we are not amused that we are paying their allowances.

I do hope they will be dropped from the BN line up in this G.E.

BN fresh line-up of women candidates. Can they speak up if women are insulted by their male chauvinist colleagues? Track records tell us otherwise.

Latest (good news)to be kicked out is that Zakaria Mat Derus bugger.

Unfortunately (bad news), Khir the Toyo has passed the Port Klang State seat to that bugger's daughter-in-law, Roslina (or is it Roslinda?). She is the Klang Division Puteri Umno chief.

I guess bad news is balanced by good news...Mat Tyson aka Muhammad son of Muhamad - widely speculated to make a comeback - is not on the list. He he he. Padan muka hang Mat.

Perompak & penipu besaq, berangan nak balik berkuasa. Tak sedaq diri!

Hey, takan Tuanku izinkkan hang bertanding lagi di bawah jajahan-nya. Hang lari curi kahwin adindanya lepei tu tak mengaku.

Ptuiii!

I was hoping that Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin will be dropped.

Unbelievable that he is ON the Sabah BN list.

I hope the voters of Kinabatangan will vote him out. We dont need such characters polluting Parliament with their presence & obscenities.
