New cabinet sworn in...

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's new cabinet was sworn in before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at Istana Negara this morning.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who now holds the Education portfolio, led the newly-appointed ministers and deputy ministers in taking their oath of office.

Datuk Seri Najib was sworn in as Prime Minister last Friday and named 28 ministers and 40 deputies to his cabinet yesterday.

He retains the finance portfolio which he has held since Sept 19 last year following a portfolio swap between him and former premier Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at that time.

Present to witness the ceremony were Raja Pemaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah, Datuk Seri Najib, and former prime ministers Tun Abdullah and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The swearing-in ceremony was carried live by RTM1.

We shall see how the new cabinet performs.

Appointing Muhyiddin as Education Minister is a good move because it shows the importance the leadership attached to education.

Ler’s hope the new cabinet will deliver as promised based on the 1Mlaysia concept as espoused by Dato Najib.

The fact that manyi long-standing old guards and those perceived as corrupt have been replaced with new faces is refreshing.

However, the public’s expectation of the new cabinet is high and it is incumbent upon them to perform and deliver, failing which they must resign.

Salam Kak Ton,

this new cabinet is made of recycled wood eaten by anai-anai, a lot of dead rats on the shelves, rotten, bad smell permeating through the already polluted malaysian air.

it's like drinking left-over coffee, reheated and laced with expired creamer.

ouchhh, i think i got stomach ache already bah.
