Counsel Gobind Singh Deo, who is holding a watching brief in the inquest on Teoh Beng Hock's death, may request for investigation be conducted on the possibility that the political aide was pushed from Plaza Masalam where he was earlier questioned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).Read also: Teoh's death may have been 'not accidental’ .
He said he would submit the application to coroner Azmil Muntapha Abas for an order be made to the police to conduct such an investigation.
"So far, the inquest proceeding is directed at an investigation into a theory that Teoh fell or committed suicide.
"However, the possibility of Teoh dying after being pushed was not investigated," he told reporters after visiting Plaza Masalam, here, and the spot where Teoh was found dead.
Teoh, 30, political aide to the Chairman of the Selangor State Committee on New Villages and Illegal Factories Management, Ean Yong Hian Wah, was found dead on July 16, on the fifth floor corridor of Plaza Masalam, after giving a statement as a witness in the investigation into the misappropriation of Selangor state government funds, to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Selangor located at the plaza. – Bernama
