Citizens for NURIN Alert ...
...is progressing, says Nuraina A. Samad
The Citizens For NURIN Alert Committee met with the Social Welfare Department (JKM) director-general Meme Zainal Rashid yesterday to begin preliminary discussions on ways to incorporate NURIN (Nationwide Urgent Response Information Network) Alert into
The CFNA committee were represented by its deputy chairman Jasni Abdul Jalil and members, Hanizah Hashim and Nuraina Samad.
Citizens for NURIN Alert has been pushing for the alert system - modelled on the highly successful AMBER Alert in the US -- to be introduced to help in the search and rescue of missing children.
The suggestion was made following the brutal murder of eight-year-old Nurin Jazlin Jazimin whose crumpled body was found stuffed in a sports bag on September 17, 28 days after she had gone missing.

GREAT JOB!!
Nurin will be the angel who will save hundreds of missing children via NURIN ALERT.
I still feel the pain in my heart when I think of Nurin and what she had to suffer for 28 days.
Nurin did not die in vain and her memory will be kept alive forever.
Despite all of us living in a unsafe environment, it is good to know that there are still many caring people like you, Tembam, Nuraina and the rest pushing for Nurin Alert.
Have a great weekend !
Nuraina,
If we cant rely on the authorities to do their duties, we might as well do things our own way. Even with tat kind of initiative it seems to be so difficult to implement as if we are infringing on them.
Tell your committee the people of Malaysia support their effort.
Kak ton,
I confuse myself there. Should have addresed you before addressing Nuraina. Please moderate my comments as deemed fit or dont publish them at all.
Dear marykate,
I am very proud of Nuraina for her commitment - pushing for Nurin Alert and seeing it through.
She is fortunate in having the support of fellow bloggers like tembam, Jasni, Rocky & Kamal who are just as committed.
Yes, Nurin didnt die in vain, Her memory will be kept alive through
NURIN alert.
