Najib - arrest of RPK not politically-motivated

...and said that the Government has no plans to clamp down bloggers but reminded them that there are laws pertaining to sedition, defamation and libel.

The Deputy Prime Minister was asked if the timinig and the arrest of Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) who has been charged for sediton would make the Government look unpopular.

"I do not think so. We have to draw the line between what is right and wrong," Datuk Seri Najib said.

"This is not politically-motivated." he said.

In any case, he said, it was up to the Attorney-General to see if there was a case.

The Star has the story here.

Najib oh Najib who are you kidding.

We know that the arrest is politically-motivated.

Just look at the sequence of events. RPK posted the article, then your pol secretary denied whatever was written, Then your lady boss came out with a statement saying stories about her on the internet were untrue.

Then RPK was arrested and charged for sedition for posting that article.

You are lying through your bloody teeth.

Come on Najib, we are not 3 year-old kids lah. Please go and sue RPK at civil court instead lah.

Najib, you better face the new political realities - that the electorate now demands greater respect for freedom of the media and of expression.

Otherwise you will face a bigger Tsunami come next GE. The BN most probably will be wiped away.

Pity Najib... finally we get to see his (& the missus) true colors! I just hope he still has some of the genes from his good father to make a stand... nampak lembik saja, where's the teeth?

Yeah Najib why dont you sue RPK in court. You can also sue Anwar who had challenged you to take him to court over the Altantulya case.

Why you being selective. And why charge RPK under the Sedition Act?

A threat to yr political future certainly isnt sedition.

Shame on you Najib. You liar! Remember there 's God, the one and only.

You're asnwerable to Him for the sins you've committed. And you know wht they are.

Putting RPK away is not the end-all. Just remember that!

Justice will preveil.

Truth will preveil, Insya Allah.

May Allah be with you RPK.

And to Dato Najib, ingatlah tiada gunanya menegakkan benang yang basah.

When the witness becomes the accused

EVER WONDERED why the police force is unable to close files and solve crimes? Do you know why witnesses to crimes do not want to come forward? Why do witnesses suddenly have memory lapses and declare: "I did not see anything." I got the answers yesterday. Two police officers from the Commercial Crime Division of Bukit Aman gave an insight into how investigations are carried out and I can tell you with a clear conscience that it was an exercise in futility because their line of questioning would have insulted the intelligence of any right-thinking person...

When they asked the final question, I blew my top because it not only became harassment but also bordered on stupidity. I was asked: Adakah kamu tahu siapa hakim bertindak sebagai penasihat undang-undang kepada Bakti sebagaimana yang dinyatakan oleh akhbar theSun? (Do you know the identity of the judge who acted as the legal adviser of Balkis?)

I asked the relevance of such a question. The answer was: ‘When the case goes to court, we need to answer all these questions".

Najib, do you really believe that RPK should be arrested?

I think the police should take immediate action against real, yes I mean REAL, criminals many of whom continue to form the government of the day.

How about that?

Time and again, only truth will prevail whether it was "politcally motivated" or not.

In my opinion, njb is alone in this issue, it is not pak lah to blame.

everyone know its politically motivated. Who are you kidding, Najib? this is a very bad move. and the more Najib wants to cover up this whole thing, this is exactly what will take him down. I pity him...najib, not RPK. so much for press freedom :(
