Watch out for Nuraina ....

... on TVl's BLOG at 8.30 tonight.

Nuraina Samad - who by the way is my sister :) - will be appearing in Blog with host Chamil Wariya, the CEO of Malaysian Press Institute (MPI).

The weekly programme was started by Information Minister Shabery Cheek in an effort to engage bloggers and to prove that the Government is now blogger-friendly.

So far, it has featured writer/journalist/blogger A. Kadir Jasin, Raja Petra Kamarudin and Zaharin Yasin.

Nuraina is the first woman blogger to appear on the programme.

Hi Zawi,

Here's my take on Nuraina.

IMO Nuraina held her own although the host tried to potray her as anti-establishment and that as a blogger she seems different from Nuraina the NST jou5rnalist.

I thought Enah explained very clearly that as a journalist in an organsisation there are company policies one has to observe, but certainly she would take up issues close to her heart and still be very critical in her writing if she was still a journalist, except for the fact that what she writes might not be vetted by her bosses.

Anyway, 15 minutes is just too short a time for any kind of meaniningful discussion.

There are a lot of ground that could be covered but I think RTM has still blinkers... and I wonder if it is serious abt engaging the bloggers or just wanna hit them on its turf.
