All three seats were won by Pakatan Rakyat candidates in the March 8 general election.
The petitions which were filed by the defeated Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates, naming the respective winners, returning officers and the Election Commission (EC) as respondents, except for Lubuk Merbau where only the assemblyman was cited.
In Kuala Kurau, PKR candidate Abdul Yunus Jamahri defeated Mohd Salleh Mat Disa of Barisan Nasional with a 467-vote majority. He received 8,224 votes while the BN candidate, Mohd Salleh Mat Disa garnered 7,757 votes.
In Kuala Sepetang, PKR candidate Tai Sing Ng won the seat with a majority of 564 votes. He received 7,285 votes while the BN candidate, See Tean Seng, 6,721 votes.
In Lubuk Merbau, Pas candidate Mohd Zainuddin Mohd Yusof beat Datuk Jamal Nasir Rasdi with a 72-vote majority.

Mahkamah tolak 3 petisyen p’raya BN

Mahkamah Tinggi Ipoh hari ini menolak petisyen membatalkan keputusan pilihanraya umum kerusi-kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Lubuk Merbau, Kuala Sapetang dan Kuala Kurau.
Petisyen tersebut dikemukakan calon-calon Barisan Nasional (BN) yang tewas di ketiga-ketiga kerusi tersebut - kesemuanya di Perak - dengan majoriti tipis.
Dalam pilihanraya umum 8 Mac lalu, DUN Kuala Kurau dan Kuala Sepetang dimenangi oleh calon PKR. Manakala kerusi Lubuk Merbau dimenangi oleh calon PAS.
Di Kulau Kurau, calon PKR, Abdul Yunus Jamahari menang dengan majoriti 467 undi. Beliau mendapat 8,224 undi manakala calon BN, Mohd Salleh Mat Disa mendapat 7,757 undi.
Di Kuala Sapetang pula, calon PKR, Tai Sing Ng menang dengan majoriti 564 undi. Beliau mendapat 7,285 undi manakala calon BN, See Tean Seng mendapat 6,721 undi.
Manakala di Lubuk Merbau pula, calon PAS, Mohd Zainuddin Mohd Yusof menang dengan majoriti 72 undi. Beliau mendapat 4,664 undi manakala calon BN,Datuk Jamal Nasir Radi memperolehi 4,592 undi. - Malaysiakini .
