Sultan Azlan Shah has decided not to give his consent to the dissolution of the Perak state assembly and has ordered Mentri Besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin and his state executive council to step down with immediate effect.

The office of the Sultan of Perak has issued a statement that after meeting all the 28 Barisan NasionalN assemblymen and the three independents, the sultan was convinced that Mohd Nizar had ceased to command the confidence of the majority of the state assembly members, reports Malaysiakini.

"If YAB Datuk Seri Ir. Mohammad Nizar bin Jamaluddin does not resign his post as Perak menteri besar together with the members of the state executive council, the posts of menteri besar and state executive councillors are considered vacant," the statement said.

"His Royal Highness used his discretion under Article XVIII (2)(b) of the Perak Darul Ridzuan state constitution and did not consent to thedissolution of the Perak state assembly," it added.

Mohammad Nizar was summoned to an audience to be informed of the Sultan's decision not to dissolve the state government and in accordance with the provisions of XVI (6) of the state constitution, Sultan Azlan Shah ordered him to resign from his post as Perak Menteri Besar together with the members of the state executive council with immediate effect, the statement said.

The Sultan of Perak must have a few skeletons in the closet... or substantial business interests he must protect. Why else would he side with the parasites in Umno/BN? Very disappointed in his decision - one he will surely live to regret.

THIS IS TRULY THE DARKEST MOMENT BEFORE A NEW DAWN!

PR have to face the music.they're no longer the govt that rules Perak.it's BN now that gonna take over the duty again after being defeated on the last GE.

this time around Anwar has lose in his own game.lose in the game of defections.who can ever predict that BN can actually PR on the game that PR defacto leader started.

with no hype,BN managed to gain control over again over Perak.PR people should not get mad.majority in PR succumb to the idea by Anwar.dont ever say that only PR can do the forming with defection and it's unfair for BN to do so.

2 word says it all:

1) Pakatan Rakyat is a LOAD OF RUBBISH. They're useless & stupid. Hardly even 1 year, they're now surrendering Perak back to BN. The Sultan of Perak decision clearly showed Tuanku is fed-up with the mess Pakatan Rakyat is creating in his state.

2) To Pakatan in Perak....SAYONARA, BYE BYE, SELAMAT TINGGAL, CHAI CHIEN.

PR now is history in Perak.
