Ezam rejoins Umno

It is confirmed. The Star reported ( and an updated version, here) that former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR ) Youth leader Ezam Mohd Nor (pic left) has been accepted back into Umno, the party he left after former DPM and Umno deputy president Anwar Ibrahim was sacked in 1998.

Speculations had been rife that Ezam was re-joining Umno following his decision to step down as Parti Keadilan Rakyat Selangor deputy chairman and Shah Alam division chief.

However he had all along denied them as mere speculations until recently when he refused to confirm or comment on it - an indication that there is some truth in the "rumours".

So why was he accepted back into Umno? What i so special about him?

Here's what Prime Minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who welcomed Ezam back to the party said:

What’s special about him is that he left he party to lead another party but he decided to come back, knowing that Umno is still the better party".

Ezam handed over his application form and RM100 in lifetime membership fee at a press conference at Parliament House, after a brief meeting with Abdullah.

Aiyo kak. Is this happening again ah? This kind of: "No-lah, all just rumours...Eh, wait, it's happening now!"

Ah well, we'll see tomorrow what Ezam has to say.

Tok Mommy,
Ezam 'made my day' - I remember he was "threatening" the BN govt. few years back to expose the corruptions, etc. by the boxes-load... well, now he's back in the "arms" of AAB, SIL&CO... what a hypocrite... just like the person who's welcoming him back... after 4 years of mencari Al Ghazali & Al Shafie (NOT harta bertimbun2..BUT RM7 billion of wang ehsan unaccounted for...), it is really SICKENING!!
