Raja Petra charged, released
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Kamarudin was charged at the Jalan Duta magistrate's court here for defaming Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Raja Petra refused to enter a plea. He was released on RM2,000 bail after his wife Marina Lee signed the papers at 3.05pm.
He was arrested Thursday morning under Section 500 of the Penal Code for criminal defamation.
The charge was being made over his June 18 statutory declaration on the murder of Mongolian translator Altantuya Shaariibuu in 2006.

heard of his arrogance and antics too, which is trademark I suppose. but why? He cannot not be prepared for this charge for making that SD. and the sacking the lawyer, refusing to enter into plea..it's this what he meant when he said he's "prepared" for it?

Kenapa senang sangat ditahan, 'charged' dan lepas tu release pula? Anwar pun mcam tu juga. Semalam ditahan, hari ni dah dilepaskan...
Kalau tak sure dengan maklumat yang dapat tu, pergi buat SD buat apa? Ingat benda macam ni boleh buat main2 ke? Ikut cara Anwar lah tu, main2kan semua benda. Sekarang mula lah kecoh.

I would like to pose a question to the BN. Who is investigating Najib and wife?
NSTMan... before anyone in public office can be properly investigated they must go on temporary leave. Otherwise no investigation is possible. As long the accused continues to sit in his or her office, he or she is protected by the aura of authority, influence and power that comes with positions of great responsibility. Once on leave, the accused ceases to wield power and can therefore be investigated. It's as simple as that. Therefore, nothing positive will happen until Najib, Gani Patail and Musa Hassan take a leave of absence - either voluntarily or on the orders of the PM.
Be valiant for truth in this day of falsehood.
Why did Raja Petra make the SD, or for that matter PI Bala? They can't be that stupid. Surely, they have their reasons.
If they made a police report on what they know, would there be any follow-up actions?
The only way to force actions was to make public by way of SDs.
Well, this great nation's National & Public security, assets, reputation, etc has been eroded to be almost equivalent to Zimbabwe.
The Downtrodden rayaat trying to make ends meet keep getting "Screwed" at every turn by the Powers-that-be for their own Personal agendas at the rayaat's expense.
Our "Defenders of Justice & Freedom" in their "Noble" pursuit
have all suffered in one way or another will never give up their struggle for this great nation & for us citizens.
So let us all stand UNITED, stay COOL & not fall for their "Barbaric" intimidations right into their "TRAP".
We just have to give them more rope to hang themselves at every turn !

What a stupid question! Before someone investigate Najib and Rosmah, the SD had to be investigated first lah. To me the SD is just another story created by RPK, no valuelah.
The problem with our country, we have to many people with IQ in between 95 - 110, but very few with IQ > 110; hence, the typical qualiy of their thinking: cerdulous. Worst still, it is not only the IQ is average, but the EQ is also low.
RPK made the SD because he was tricked by this so call intelligence, and stupidly, because of RPK extreme animosity toward Rosmah and Najib, he went on to making the SD.
The intelligence is likely to be part and parcel of either:
(1) Anwar, in his attamept to frame Najib and prevent Najib from becoming the PM
(2)some foreign agency, who sees it fitting to push Anwar to be the PM, as it would be easier for them to control the country.
(3)some foreign agency, who sees it fitting to turn the countries into chaos. Anwar and RPK is being used by them unknowing to both themselve
