Yesterday, the DAP CEC issued a statement rejecting the appointment of PAS Pasir Panjang assemblyman Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin as Menteri Besar of Perak and said the DAP Perak assemblymen "will stay away from the swearing-in ceremony" scheduled at 4pm today.
Looks like the "problem" has been resolved.
Here's the full statement:
Apology to Perak Sultan and Regent - no offence intended
My three-paragraph statement at 7 pm last night that the DAP Central Executive Committee emergency meeting on 9th March had not given approval for a PAS Mentri Besar to head a Perak coalition state government was not made out of disrespect to the Perak Sultan and Regent both whom I have always held in the highest regard and I apologise for any offence caused. The statement was on the party position at the time.
There have been further discussions and developments on the matter in the hours after the statement.
Announcements of the latest position will be made.

Kak Ton,
I seriously dont get Kit Siang. He's old and supposedly "wise".
So, I dont get his "melatah" last night and apology this morning.
He shd fire he s lousy advisers too!
Good thing he did the right thing. But damage already done. Dont blame the Malays if they are suspicious of uncle kit and dont have full trust in the DAP looking after their interest.
All along BN has ignored the minorities and also marginalized them(chinese and Indians).
BN-Umno needs to reform all leaders and components party dont have confidence in his administration even the component parties (MCA, MIC, PPP) has ask not to take up any cabinet seats or remain in their same position as it is going to be worst in the near future if he still remains. Making way for young ignorant and inexperienced candidate will do no good as it is still the same people who is running the show. He should be responsible like the rest of the leaders to resign as Prime Minister for Malaysia.
Meritocracy system has been proven and tested is still the best not marginalizing the chinese , indian and other minorities where everyone is equal too bad hey do away with this Malaysia since 1969 always favouring the Malays and with connections within the parties.
