And the verdict...

... a good forum and healthy discourse towards addressing the propaganda against the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), says its de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Bravo to Anwar for refusing to bite Shabery’s bait - who on several occasions took potshots at the former DPM - and remainig focussed on the topic of discussion, “Hari ini membentuk kerajaan, esok turun harga minyak.”

Shabery Chik, you can tender in your letter of resignation as Information Minister.

Shabery (frothing from the mouth - he he he) thinks a debate is a forum where you can hit your opponent below the belt. That was what he did.

As for the winner...well, you be the judge.

Tok Mommy,

All I can say is that Shabery was so pathetic. If this is the best that a BN minister could do, I shudder just thinking wht the furture lies for the country and the rakyat jelata.

Letting the time pass me by said...

Sekarang baru saya faham istilah berbuih mulut...

Yeah Shaberry seems to go astray all the time... Anwar also have some astray moment especially went being attack on personel ground..

overall it is a "good" debate...

Anyway, it is just something political... Will the oil price come down ?? I dont think so... Will Anwar become a PM... I also doubt it..

Only if the Government could listen and follow Anwar suggestions....

Its's a k.o. for shabery yang telah lari dari tajuk perbahasan.

wbagaimana pun, saya ucapkan syabas kpd beliau kerana berani turun ke gelanggang untuk menemui lawannya.

Though I dont like Shabery's tactic of hitting below the belt but I laud his courage for having this debate. Can you imagine, if it was Zam...you you you...we're democratic country, we've er... every 5 years.
At the end of the day Anwar the clear winner in debate Ahmad Shabery.

If you ask me, the clear winner is undoubtedly Sdr Anwar who was armed with facts and figures and laid down his suggestions as to how he would reduce the price of fuel when asked by the moderator.

Shabery is a budak hingusan and the best he could do was to resort to character assasination by taking potshots at Sdr Anwar

Why do I have this sneaking feeling that Shabery was asked to take on Anwar? Is it one way to wipe out any influence that Ku Li still has in the party bearing in mind that Shabery is or maybe still loyal to the Gua Musang MP who has expressed his intention to challenge Pak Lah?

Shabery is inconsequential to Pak Lah and his post could easily be filled by other pengampus and PM's loyalists.

Btw, those potshots were real cheap, Shabery.

I suppose when facing such a colourful character..couldn't help it? anyway, I'd say there was no winner nor loser, and neither does it matter. it's good to let these "facts and figures" come out in the public, so everyone can scrutinize them and come to own conclusions. I enjoyed the debate, and thought when going up against a seasoned, fame orator like DSAI, Shabery did pretty good.

Tak juga lari topik, apa yang dia cakap pasal Anwar masa dulu memang berkaitan pun..Boleh kita tahu sebenarnya macam mana Anwar tu..Sekarang memanglah konon2 sangat prihatin dengan nasib rakyat, macam semalam, asyik sebut benda tu pun..Formula bukan kukuh sangat, cakap perlukah RM5 billion je untuk mngurangkan harga minyak sebanyak 5o sen? cukup ke tu? ke main cakap je, sebenarnya tak pasti pun..Lepas tu tak habis2 sebut ketirisan dan kebocoran je, dok ulang2 banyak kali..Cuma dia cakap sedap didengar je, ramai orang cakap dia bagus..

Kak Ton,

I was meaning to leave a comment on this posting then anwar's arrest dominated my laptop's screen the whole day.

So here it is (finally) what I think it was about last night's debate.

Prior to the debate I told my other half "Papa, habih lah kena sayur budak Cheek tuhh..."

After the debate: I was damn right!

Cheek's hitting below the belt was so apparent it was classless. Then again, who among them is with class anyway?

DSAI won hands down...Still i don't trust him to lead the country..if it happen, i will migrate...As for Shabery, please resign as promised,no excuses...He is more interested in making himself visible for the upcoming Perhimpunan UMNO...well, you blew it...If this is the mentality of lesders UMNO have, then the Malays.......you guess!
