Rakyat's Rally in celebration of "Countdown from Black 14" tonite

There will be a celebration to mark the end of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's five-year ban on contesting the election and holding public-political office.

Details of Perhimpunan Rakyat “countdown dari Black 14 ke arah kemenangan Rakyat, are as follows:

Tonite: 14 April 2008

Time : 8.45 pm

Venue : Kelab Sultan Sulaiman Kg. Baru, Kuala Lumpur


More than 50,000 are expected to attend the rally, according to Anwar Ibrahim's blog, here.

No. Its nowhere near 50 thousands. But thousands they were.

The police warning given earlier, could be the reason for the reduced figure. It could also well be because it was Monday. Hectic schedules and usual traffic that came along with the usual Monday euphorias. Or maybe simply because majority of the people didnt really see the need to it or not used to it, the culture.
