Police roadblocks cause gridlock in KL

Police roadblocks at entry-points into the city since Saturday caused massive jams in Kuala Lumpur on Monday morning. Police said they were preparing for illegal protests although Opposition parties denied they were planning any. - Starpic by Chan Tak Kong

Malaysiakini updated news at 11.10am reported that police roadblocks along major roads leading to Parliament in massive traffic jams in Kuala Lumpur this morning.

An earlier story reported that roadblocks had been set up amid protest fear of protest following court order to arrest PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.

The opposition stalwart is upset that despite agreeing to go voluntarily, the police had 'intimidated and harassed' his staff and family in a bid to serve an order.

I am not sure how intelligent is the intelligence report. It would be plainly stupid to cause difficulties based on something that they predicted will happen, but is actually not happening. They should fire their intelligence personnel.
